PAUL WHITAKER - Strafe Music Composer


Paul Whitaker is a performer/songwriter/composer from the The City of Kawartha Lakes. Paul has played Guitar and provided Lead Vocals in bands for most of his life; and from the beginning has been a songwriter with a multitude of influences. His music has been featured on Q107 and on TV shows receiving accolades from the public and his peers alike. Paul’s roots are firmly placed in mainstream rock, however he draws inspiration from many different lyrical and musical influences. "As many of the professional songwriters/performers today, my musical canvas is as vast and varied, as the multicultural community in which we live”. Having performed for more than 25 years on stages all over North America, he now focuses his talents on cross-genre compositions. Paul hosted and co-produced a successful Music Showcase program on Rogers Cable. Paul played at the Grey Cup festival in Toronto and continues to perform in many charity shows, like Amnesty International Series and Ride for Sight and has shared stages with the likes of Colin James, 54-40, The Tea Party, Honeymoon Suite, Frank Soda as well as spending time in the studio with Jim McCarty and Mike Tilka. Paul Whitaker will be releasing an album in the summer of 2009, of original concept rock material to reach new audiences and experiences.
